Key Responsibilities:
- Build highly scalable test frameworks, systems, and infrastructure capable of handling thousands of tests per day.
- Ensure test automation results are supremely reliable and trustworthy, facilitating hands-free releases.
- Deliver innovative solutions to complex test automation challenges as an individual contributor.
- Collaborate closely with Product, UX, and Development teams to execute and deliver high-quality discovery experiences across Mobile, Web, and Living Room devices. These experiences must be highly performant, personalized, engaging, and relevant to potentially 300+ million users.
- Work with stakeholders across functions to align the Quality team with overall business objectives.
- Guide peers in developing Quality Engineering roadmaps and test systems to drive product quality, identifying, planning, and executing projects to support Quality goals.
- Be part of the CEX Org QE team, collaborating with the CEX Discovery team of 50+ engineers across Home and Details UX, Personalization, and Search, enabling customers in multiple countries to discover content across thousands of titles in various genres and languages.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Excellent automation skills for front-end client applications like Mobile, TVs, Set Top Boxes, or Living Room devices.
- Good understanding of REST APIs, including request-response structures, error, and status codes.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database scripting.
- Experience in developing backend tools or frameworks for testing REST APIs, microservices, data migration, failover scenarios, blue-green or canary deployment procedures.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD principles.
- Strong understanding of Shift Left principles.
Preferred skills:
- Ability to build distributed systems for performance and scale testing.
- Experience in working or testing within a distributed heterogeneous microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with caches such as Aerospike, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, Hadoop, Cassandra, Kafka.
- Experience with Amazon AWS or similar cloud providers.
- Knowledge of industry best practices in software development processes, including unit testing, OOP, design, and code reviews.
- Proficiency with Linux commands and shell scripts.
- Good knowledge of building and publishing POCs.
