Key Responsibilities for Analyst:
- Collaborate with multiple customers and stakeholders on various projects.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the business domain, its strategic direction, functional goals, and required technical expertise.
- Foster innovation within oneself and the team to deliver incremental business value.
- Exhibit a satisfactory level of business knowledge.
- Translate business requirements into technical/functional specifications and analysis/management information (MI) reports.
- Ensure flawless execution by the team through effective project management and integration of necessary quality checks approved by senior management.
- Maintain acceptable standards of productivity and contribute towards quantifiable process improvement goals.
- Uphold the Group Values of being Dependable, Open, and Connected.
- Uphold personal integrity and adhere to established HSBC policies on conduct, compliance, and Resilience Risk.
- Complete essential functional trainings and Group/Region Mandated Trainings relevant to the process.
- Provide functional trainings and attend Soft Skills sessions based on Personal Development Plans (PDP).
Eligibility Criteria:
- Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a reputable university, specializing in a numerical discipline with a concentration in computer science, information systems, or other engineering fields.
- Proficient in Conceptual/Logical Data Modeling and experienced in Data Governance, Metadata Management, and Data Quality assessment, with proficiency in Collibra.
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge in Data Modeling and Metadata management.
- Familiarity with Graph Database/Knowledge Graph is advantageous.
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of data management frameworks including data governance, data privacy, business architecture, and data quality.
- Exhibits strong analytical skills with aptitude in business analysis.
Preferred skills:
- Capable of understanding intricate business problems and analyzing them with limited or complex data, offering feasible solution frameworks. Experienced in working on Data/Information Management projects of varying complexities.
- Familiarity with financial services/banking operations in a global bank is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a drive for success.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts clearly.
- Ability to build robust relationships internally and externally.
