Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day reactive issues with customers via email and chat channels, with potential outreach via phone.
  • Ensure completion of assigned tasks and responsibilities promptly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve business goals and contribute to initiatives aimed at improving team performance and processes.
  • Meet or exceed specified targets for turnaround time and quality of delivery, paying close attention to details.
  • Adhere to defined processes and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), particularly regarding Outlook issue resolution processes.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to sellers and account managers on various matters including defect review/removal, eMBG case review/auctioning, technical issues, product issues, and standards and policy-related issues affecting sales growth.
  • Resolve eBay-specific impediments to growth and sales for merchants, including defect reviews/removal, eMBG case review/action, technical issues, and standards and policy-related matters.
  • Coach merchants to proactively address issues and policies to prevent future business disruptions, including the adoption of eBay tools and standard processes.
  • Collaborate with internal partners, advisors, policy makers, and technical teams to expedite issue resolution.
  • Foster a trusting relationship between eBay and customers while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communicate timely findings to the Account Manager and other key stakeholders.
  • Share insights and learnings with the team during daily huddles, particularly regarding unique or significant issues or queries addressed.
  • Demonstrate empathy towards customer concerns and exhibit a commitment to serve with ownership until resolution is achieved.
  • Utilize negotiation and influence skills when necessary to advocate on behalf of eBay and/or the customer.
  • Summarize and provide customer feedback to management for continuous improvement efforts.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Graduation is a mandatory requirement for this position.

Preferred skills:

  • Demonstrate adept probing and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess the ability to multitask effectively, with flexibility and readiness to adapt to changes.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Understanding of data interpretation and insight quality is beneficial for success in this role.
  • Ability to collaborate efficiently within a team environment.
  • Excellent time management, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated individual with a positive outlook.
  • Maintain professionalism consistently in all interactions.
  • Display a high level of accountability in providing end-to-end solutions to customers.
  • Possess at least 5 years of experience in customer service, e-commerce, or handling email/chat services.
  • Experience in managing customer complaints is advantageous.
