Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret GDS policies, conduct compliance checks/audits, and recommend actions based on firm guidance.
- Develop subject matter expertise on Independence issues, specifically analyzing individuals’ financial holdings and relationships to assess independence under relevant rules.
- Perform Independence checks and general research for potential new clients.
- Analyze issues and produce deliverables documenting the diligence applied to tasks, as work papers undergo review and scrutiny by external regulators.
- Engage in executive-level interactions with client team members and GDS personnel.
- Understand the client’s business, requirements, and the Service Level Agreement (SLA) of the process, along with maintaining quality parameters.
- Contribute to project teams involved in regular client interactions, emphasizing exceptional client service.
- Collaborate as a team player, fostering teamwork, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality outputs.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Hold a university degree or postgraduate qualification.
- Have 0-1 year of relevant work experience.
Preferred skills:
- Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiently use Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Exhibit good analytical thinking and decision-making abilities.
- Possess a robust domain knowledge of various financial market products and a comprehensive understanding of financial terms.
- Display professionalism, industry competence, and clear communication when interacting with Onshore teams.
- Comfortably work in an unstructured and complex environment, requiring out-of-the-box thinking and logical reasoning.
- Conduct research and gather necessary information from various external and internal sources.
- Learn and understand EY’s Risk Management policies, with familiarity in other Risk Management initiatives beyond the area of expertise.
- Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Act as a team player and active listener, responding to and developing the ideas of others.
