Key Responsibilities for Financial Analyst:
- Provide assistance in the realm of cost and project accounting, ensuring that expenses are accurately allocated to their designated categories, thereby contributing to the production of high-quality financial reports.
- Offer support to the Financial Planning team by conducting thorough expense research and providing necessary assistance.
- Collaborate in the preparation of monthly reports and variance analysis. This aids in the timely identification of focal points for management, with a moderate level of guidance from direct supervisors or senior team members.
- Establish collaborative partnerships with other teams within Business Planning, fostering strong working relationships across the organization.
- Contribute to the development of new reporting solutions and the identification of focal points for management.
- Implement best practices to enhance current processes and reporting, with an emphasis on standardizing activities across Business Planning to improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities for Data Associate:
- Comprehend the dataset, input requirements, and output specifications thoroughly.
- Collect data from diverse sources and maintain relevant tools, templates, internal databases, files, and spreadsheets after executing predefined adjustments.
- Acquire data from Moody’s internal tools, information provided by other teams, and company reports. Regularly collaborate with other teams in the workflow.
- Detect and investigate issues, exceptions, and data discrepancies, escalating them as necessary and ensuring their resolution.
- Retrieve information, files, links, etc., from websites, internal sites, and databases.
- Communicate daily and weekly updates as mandated by the process, including workflow status or summaries.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Possession of an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, management, or a closely related field.
Preferred skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with effective interpersonal abilities.
- Attentive to detail and committed to maintaining data quality, with the ability to summarize and convey findings and analyses.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, preferably Office 365.
- Demonstrates strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Possesses knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts.
- Enthusiastic about acquiring new skills and taking on fresh challenges.
- Displays expertise in Microsoft programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
