Key Responsibilities:
- MySQL instances can be installed and configured on a single or many ports.
- Expertise working directly with MySQL 5.7 and MySQL 8.
- Detailed knowledge of the Mysql Replication process flows, threads, multi-node cluster setup, and fundamental troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of at least one MySQL backup and recovery technique.
- Possess solid SQL basics and, where necessary, the ability to comprehend and fine-tune complex SQL queries.
- Strong Linux system basics, as well as monitoring tools like top, iostats, and sar, among others.
- A few years’ worth of hands-on experience working with medium- to large-sized MySQL databases in production.
- Establishing and maintaining a system for managing users and privileges, as well as troubleshooting pertinent access concerns.
- Some familiarity with third-party tools like Percona, ProxySQL,
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred skills:
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar discipline (or have the equivalent work experience).
- Proficiency with database management systems like NoSQL or MySQL.
- Database design and SQL programming abilities.
- Understanding of database performance optimisation and tuning strategies.
- Knowledge about recommended database security procedures.
- Automation and scripting abilities (Python is a plus).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
