Key Responsibilities:
- Execute installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
- Develop and maintain software components, modules, or applications using appropriate programming languages and technologies.
- Integrate software systems with existing infrastructure, databases, APIs, and third-party services to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.
- Code and program enhancements, updates, and changes for portions and subsystems of systems software, including operating systems, compilers, networking, utilities, databases, and internet-related tools.
- Execute established test plans and protocols for assigned portions of code, identifying, logging, and debugging issues.
- Participate in concept design discussions, gather system-level requirements, clarify interfaces, and provide feedback for future design requirements to develop robust and high-performance solutions.
- Improve the entire lifecycle of services from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement.
- Provide support services through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
- Develop understanding of and relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development.
- Participate as a member of a project team of other software systems engineers to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions for low to moderately complex products.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience and demonstrated competence.
- Typically has 0-2 years of work experience, preferably in systems engineering, computer programming, or a related field.
