Key Responsibilities:
- Business Understanding and Impact: Understands project objectives and requirements from a business perspective. Assists senior leads in assessing projects including risks, contingencies, requirements, assumptions, and constraints. Contributes to developing project plans and shares insights with stakeholders based on direct work.
- Data Preparation and Understanding: Assists with initial data collection and familiarizes themselves with the data to identify quality problems, discover insights, and detect subsets for hypotheses. Utilizes appropriate analysis techniques and key technologies like SQL and Python. Cleans, transforms, analyzes, integrates, and organizes data to meet analysis requirements while adhering to ethics and privacy policies. Identifies data integrity problems.
- Modeling and Statistical Analysis: Learns various modeling techniques such as linear regression, neural networks, etc. Runs model tools on prepared datasets, seeking guidance as needed. Contributes to researching, identifying, prototyping, and productizing machine learning (ML)/artificial intelligence (AI) techniques. Collaborates on designing ML/AI-driven features in the product.
- Evaluating for Insight and Impact: Understands the connection between models and business objectives. Tests models on test applications and real or production data. Analyzes model performance and incorporates customer feedback. Conducts reviews of data analysis and modeling techniques to ensure thoroughness.
- Industry and Research Knowledge/Opportunity Identification: Understands industry tools, techniques, and processes to improve efficiency and performance. Stays updated on current trends and attends internal research conferences. Contributes to thought leadership and intellectual property best practices.
- Coding and Debugging: Writes readable code for features, seeking guidance when needed. Contributes to optimizing code, improving system reliability, and debugging. Develops an understanding of Agile methodology and contributes to production documentation.
- Business Management: Understands data structures and their relation to the customer’s business. Learns best practices in identifying growth opportunities, understanding strategy goals, and exploring ML applications.
- Customer/Partner Orientation: Examines projects with a customer-oriented focus, managing customer expectations, enhancing customer excellence, and communicating results effectively. Understands the impact of data quality on model accuracy and can articulate it in customer discussions.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred skills:
- Alternatively, equivalent experience is also considered.
