Key Responsibilities:
- Develop production-ready solutions using state-of-the-art multimodal models on the IBM watsonx platform for defect and anomaly detection, segmentation, visual inspection, and document understanding across industries such as energy, infrastructure, logistics, banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), and the public sector.
- Design and develop Python-based services and data pipelines to support AI and deep learning applications.
- Fine-tune foundation models using client-specific data to address business requirements and improve model performance.
- Package and deploy AI models as containerized, API-driven services on Red Hat OpenShift and IBM Cloud.
- Enhance model robustness, reliability, and explainability to ensure effective performance in real-world environments.
- Collaborate with pre-sales teams to develop proofs of concept (PoCs) and present technical solutions and results to clients.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative, accountability, and effective task management.
- Collaborate with researchers, solution architects, and client stakeholders to transform innovative ideas and prototypes into production-ready solutions.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and deliver projects efficiently.
Eligibility Criteria:

Required Skills:
- Possess a strong foundation in Python programming and deep learning. Experience with C++, Java, or other programming languages is an added advantage.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow, including convolutional neural networks (CNNs), transformer models, and object detection and segmentation architectures.
- Have experience in computer vision tasks such as anomaly detection, defect detection, image segmentation, and image classification.
- Demonstrate experience in building data pipelines for large image datasets, including data cleaning, augmentation, and annotation workflows.
- Possess knowledge of model evaluation techniques, statistical analysis, and error analysis.
- Have experience building API-driven services using REST APIs or FastAPI and packaging machine learning models using Docker.
- Demonstrate experience using GitHub for source code management and version control.
- Hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, or an equivalent field.
Preferred Skills:
- Hold a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, or Robotics, either completed or in progress.
- Have research publications in peer-reviewed conferences or venues such as CVPR, WACV, BMVC, or ACM SAC.
- Demonstrate experience with vision-language models, such as CLIP and SAM, and parameter-efficient fine-tuning techniques, including adapters and LoRA.
- Have experience working on industrial inspection, infrastructure monitoring, or medical imaging applications.
- Possess knowledge of explainable AI techniques, such as Grad-CAM, and adversarial robustness methods.
- Have knowledge of model optimization techniques and edge deployment technologies, such as ONNX, TensorRT, and OpenVINO.
- Possess knowledge of IBM watsonx, Hugging Face, Kubernetes, Docker, and Red Hat OpenShift.
- Have familiarity with cloud platforms and services, including IBM Cloud, AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Demonstrate experience working with Linux-based systems.
