Key Responsibilities:
Application Development:
- Participate in the design, development, testing, and implementation of AB Suite applications.
- Develop, debug, and unit test application components under the guidance of senior team members.
- Assist in developing new application components, including Ispecs, Reports, Classes, Methods, and Services.
- Implement code fixes and enhancements for existing business applications.
- Create and maintain technical documentation related to assigned development tasks.
- Follow software engineering standards, coding guidelines, and development best practices.
Application Support & Maintenance:
- Support L2/L3 application maintenance activities.
- Analyze and resolve application issues within agreed service-level requirements.
- Assist in troubleshooting production incidents and identifying their root causes.
- Support application deployment, implementation, and validation activities.
- Monitor application performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Learning & Collaboration:
- Work closely with senior developers, technical leads, and business analysts.
- Participate in code reviews and team knowledge-sharing activities.
- Continuously develop and enhance knowledge of AB Suite, MCP, and related technologies.
- Participate in transition and knowledge acquisition activities as required.
- Collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams.
Quality & Process Excellence:
- Develop unit tests and support system testing activities.
- Ensure compliance with secure coding practices and established quality standards.
- Follow SDLC, Agile, and software development lifecycle processes.
- Report progress, risks, issues, and dependencies in a timely manner.
- Contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives where applicable.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in any relevant discipline with 0–2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 0–3 years of experience in application development, support, testing, or maintenance.
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle concepts and programming principles.
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts is desirable.
- Knowledge of databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, DMSII, or other relational databases.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is preferred.
- Strong willingness and ability to learn enterprise application technologies.
Primary Technologies:
- Proficiency in Unisys Agile Business Suite (AB Suite).
- Knowledge of Enterprise Application Environment (EAE).
- Understanding of AB Suite application development, debugging, testing, and deployment.
- Knowledge of MCP-based application support.
Preferred Technologies:
- Familiarity with Unisys ClearPath MCP.
- Knowledge of MARC, CANDE, WFL, and COMS.
- Familiarity with DMSII, SQL Server, and Oracle Database.
- Understanding of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Knowledge of version control systems.
