Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the health, performance, and capacity of mission-critical applications and services across multi-region environments.
- Act as a first-line responder to production alerts, outages, and system anomalies while participating in on-call rotations and rapid-response activities.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application, core system, network, and performance-related issues.
- Perform database-level troubleshooting, query analysis, data validation, and performance tuning across PostgreSQL, Oracle Database, and MySQL environments.
- Collaborate with development, QA, database, and infrastructure teams to identify root causes and implement permanent corrective solutions.
- Develop and optimize telemetry dashboards, log aggregation processes, and alerting rules using tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, and Dynatrace to improve system observability.
- Monitor and maintain key reliability metrics, including Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs), to minimize Time to Detect (TTD) and Time to Mitigate (TTM).
- Develop and maintain scripts and tools using Python and Bash to automate repetitive operational tasks, system health checks, and routine maintenance activities.
- Support production deployments, CI/CD pipeline executions using Jenkins and GitHub Actions, build validations using Maven and Gradle, and canary and smoke testing activities.
- Execute production Change Requests (CRs) in accordance with enterprise change management processes, risk assessment standards, and operational procedures.
- Apply modern engineering practices and GenAI-assisted workflows to improve log analysis, incident documentation, troubleshooting efficiency, and overall operational effectiveness.
Eligibility Criteria:
- 1 to 2 years of combined professional experience in Application Production Support (APS), DevOps, Systems Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix fundamentals, including file systems, process management, networking, permissions, systemd, and core system engineering concepts.
- Experience with Java and Python for programming and debugging, along with familiarity with Java-based build tools such as Maven and Gradle.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and querying skills with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle Database, and MySQL.
- Hands-on experience with observability, monitoring, and logging platforms such as Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, and Dynatrace.
- Experience in incident management and triage, along with the ability to follow standard change and configuration management processes.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with continuous integration and deployment tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Exposure to Generative AI (GenAI) solutions, AI models, and modern AI-assisted development and support workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to effectively leverage AI and GenAI tools to accelerate log analysis, script development, troubleshooting, and issue investigation.
- Hands-on experience with Docker containers and a foundational understanding of Kubernetes concepts.
- Familiarity with public or private cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure.
- Basic understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
