Key Responsibilities:
- Work as a core member of the actuarial team and contribute to establishing and strengthening the team as a center of excellence.
- Analyze historical claims data to identify potential issues and trends, and document the findings.
- Develop MS Excel-based actuarial tools and apply triangulation methods to estimate outstanding loss reserves for various (re)insurance companies.
- Work on Statements of Actuarial Opinion (SAO) and conduct actuarial audits for clients.
- Review data, methodologies, assumptions, and results, and benchmark them against market practices.
- Reconcile current results with those from the previous year and compare them with clients’ results.
- Review non-life pricing models and perform bespoke actuarial modeling as required.
- Assist with actuarial reviews of Solvency II technical provisions and Economic Balance Sheets to support regulatory submission requirements.
- Validate the consistency and accuracy of information across regulatory submissions.
- Assist clients in understanding and implementing new regulations and accounting standards, including Solvency II and IFRS.
- Provide transaction support and due diligence assistance to clients.
- Assist with actuarial system transformation and related implementation activities.
- Support actuarial reviews of economic capital requirements.
- Prepare clear commentary on results and findings and develop comprehensive summary reports.
- Assist senior team members with day-to-day management activities, including management information (MI) reporting.
- Actively participate in engagement team meetings and contribute to discussions and decision-making.
- Communicate effectively with engagement managers, directors, and partners of the onshore team and build strong professional relationships.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders and proactively discuss solutions to potential issues and problem areas.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Graduate/ Postgraduate degree with a strong background in Mathematics and Statistics.
- 0–1 years of experience in Insurance or Finance.
- Membership in IFoA (UK), SOA/CAS (US), and/or IAI (India).
- Must have passed at least four actuarial examinations from any of these institutes.
