Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn and apply software engineering best practices while contributing to product development activities.
  • Assist in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of Emerson software products.
  • Develop and maintain software features under the guidance and mentorship of senior engineers.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues identified during the development and testing phases.
  • Participate in code reviews and implement feedback to enhance code quality and maintainability.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation in accordance with project and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Development, Testing, Product Management, and Customer Support, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Support automation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software development processes.
  • Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, development tools, and software engineering methodologies to support professional growth.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • M.Tech or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline, with graduation completed in 2025 or 2026.
  • Strong understanding of programming fundamentals, data structures, and object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as C#, C++, Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Basic knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software engineering principles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn industrial automation technologies, Emerson products, and emerging software development practices.

Preferred Skills:

  • Academic projects, internships, or relevant coursework related to software development will be an advantage.
  • Exposure to Windows application development, web technologies, or cloud platforms is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of relational databases, SQL, and database management concepts.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Exposure to software testing, test automation, or DevOps practices is desirable.
  • Understanding of Agile and Scrum software development methodologies.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted software development tools and modern development practices.
  • Knowledge of industrial automation, control systems, or Internet of Things (IoT) technologies will be considered an added advantage.
