Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze user requirements for assigned product features.
- Assist in identifying feature dependencies and preparing design documentation with minimal supervision.
- Develop, implement, and optimize code for products, services, or features while leveraging reusable components.
- Break down complex tasks into manageable work items and contribute to effort estimation and planning.
- Serve as the Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) for on-call support by monitoring system performance, identifying issues, and assisting in service restoration for routine incidents.
- Continuously enhance technical knowledge by staying up to date with industry trends and best practices to improve product reliability, performance, scalability, observability, and operational efficiency.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Strong software development and coding skills using modern programming languages.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements.
- Successfully pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 1 year of technical engineering experience with C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Experience designing and developing large-scale distributed systems.
- Knowledge of cloud backend development, including performance, reliability, resilience, and scalability.
- Understanding of cloud architecture, distributed computing, and backend service operations.
- Ability to build and maintain scalable, high-performance, and reliable cloud-based applications.
