Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and analyze business and functional requirements to ensure accurate testing coverage.
- Prepare, review, and execute test cases based on project specifications and requirements.
- Perform manual testing and support automation testing activities to improve test efficiency.
- Validate application functionality, identify defects, and report issues with detailed documentation.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and sanity testing to ensure software quality and stability.
- Assist in API testing and database validation to verify data accuracy and system performance.
- Collaborate with developers and senior QA engineers to investigate, track, and resolve defects.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Maintain test documentation, test results, and status reports to support quality assurance processes.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science, Electronics & Communication, B.Sc. (CS/IT), MCA, or an equivalent qualification.
- 2024 or 2025 pass-out with a B.E./ B.Tech degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Electronics & Communication, or a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science/Information Technology.
- Possess 0–12 months of experience in the IT industry.
- Have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the highest qualification with no active backlogs.
Technical Skills:
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Possess knowledge of software testing methodologies, including Functional, Sanity, Integration, System, and Regression Testing.
- Have a basic understanding of test case design techniques and defect lifecycle management.
- Demonstrate familiarity with automation testing concepts and tools such as Selenium or Playwright.
- Possess basic programming knowledge in C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Have working knowledge of SQL and the ability to write basic database queries for data validation.
- Demonstrate an understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and API testing using tools such as Postman.
- Be familiar with Git or other version control systems.
- Possess an understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Have knowledge of CI/CD concepts and software delivery practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Have exposure to Selenium, Playwright, or SpecFlow.
- Possess knowledge of SQL and API testing methodologies.
- Be familiar with project management and defect tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of Azure cloud services.
- Have exposure to automation frameworks through academic, personal, or internship projects.
