Key Responsibilities:

  • Create RFQ packages for manufacturing parts across multiple commodities based on project requirements and timelines by gathering relevant inputs such as approved vendor lists, drawings, specifications, and checklists.
  • Set up and manage eRFX events using tools such as Ariba, including conducting reverse auctions when required.
  • Distribute RFQ packages to suppliers across regional and global markets.
  • Address supplier queries by coordinating with internal stakeholders to provide timely clarifications and resolutions.
  • Review supplier responses for completeness, identify deviations, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Perform preliminary bid analysis and prepare quote comparison reports for stakeholders.
  • Recommend sourcing strategies and support effective price negotiations.
  • Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, delivery terms, and contractual conditions.
  • Award contracts and communicate decisions to suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Update procurement systems to facilitate purchase order (PO) creation.
  • Collaborate with internal customers to understand requirements and ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, improved commercial terms, and enhanced sourcing strategies.
  • Monitor overall spend and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Leverage organizational purchasing power through specification rationalization and volume consolidation.
  • Negotiate and formalize agreements into standard contracts and frameworks.
  • Ensure delivery of goods and services in line with contractual agreements, SLAs, and KPIs.
  • Track performance metrics such as savings targets, delivery timelines, customer satisfaction, and sourcing opportunities.
  • Lead source selection and procurement review boards, negotiate contract terms, and execute binding agreements.
  • Administer contracts, manage amendments, and ensure compliance with company policies and contractual obligations.
  • Identify and engage strategic suppliers for new business opportunities and conduct bidder conferences.
  • Demonstrate experience in procuring turbine components and power plant equipment, including piping systems, control compartments, HVAC, ducts, structures, firefighting systems, and related components.
  • Possess experience in the EPC industry, which is considered an added advantage.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Hold a university degree in any discipline.
  • Possess strong knowledge of the global supplier base for valves, instruments, and industrial raw materials.
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Have a basic understanding of end-to-end sourcing and procurement processes within a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Hold a degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in English; knowledge of additional foreign languages is an added advantage.
  • Have practical experience with Ariba or similar e-procurement tools.
  • Possess sourcing-related certifications such as CPM or SPSM, which are considered a plus.
