Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deliver product features within the business value chain as part of a cross-functional feature team.
- Work autonomously within the feature team while continuously contributing to process and product improvements.
- Contribute across all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirement analysis to production deployment.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and overall code quality across the team.
- Organize, optimize, and industrialize software development processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Propose and evaluate technical solutions that align with product and architectural requirements.
- Participate in building and enhancing the technical infrastructure as required.
- Operate within Agile development frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, DevOps practices, and pair programming.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners and Business Analysts to translate epics and business requirements into well-defined user stories.
- Contribute to the development of a strong technical culture within the feature team through code reviews, pairing, and craftsmanship practices.
- Mentor team members by promoting best practices in coding and unit testing, and support the team in resolving technical challenges.
- Ensure high standards of software craftsmanship, including code coverage, maintainability, API quality, and adherence to best practices.
- Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of software releases to production environments.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on experience in Java and modern frontend frameworks such as Angular or React.
- Strong hands-on experience with Core Java, Spring Framework, and Hibernate.
- Proven experience in building microservices-based applications using Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience in GUI development using JSP, HTML, and JavaScript; experience with AngularJS, Node.js, Bootstrap, or jQuery is an added advantage.
- Clear understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with a process-oriented mindset; prior experience working on Agile or Continuous Delivery (CD) projects is highly desirable.
- Strong fundamentals in core programming concepts, object-oriented design, and design patterns.
- Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience in creating and executing unit tests using a test-driven development (TDD) approach with JUnit and Mockito.
- Exposure to UI unit testing frameworks such as Karma and Jasmine is an added advantage.
- Prior exposure to the investment banking or financial services domain is a plus.
