Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects by working closely with engineers from multiple teams.
- Provide constructive and meaningful feedback during code reviews and technical design discussions.
- Ensure that systems operated by the team remain reliable, performant, and scalable to meet user demands.
- Develop the capability to own projects end-to-end, gaining hands-on experience in project management and technical leadership.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science or a closely related field, to be completed by Summer 2026, or equivalent practical work experience.
- Foundational programming experience gained through academic coursework, side projects, or personal initiatives, with familiarity in one or more languages such as Java, Ruby, JavaScript, Scala, or Go, and the ability to quickly learn new programming languages.
- Experience working collaboratively on multi-person coding projects through internships, academic programs, or professional environments.
- Strong ability to learn unfamiliar systems by conducting independent research and collaborating with mentors and subject matter experts.
Preferred Skills:
- Specialized knowledge in one or more technical areas, complemented by broad software engineering fundamentals, such as frontend technologies and a high-level understanding of how services handle HTTP requests.
- Experience participating in code reviews with an understanding of best practices for safely updating and maintaining production systems.
- Familiarity with working within and navigating large-scale codebases.
