Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to interpret, validate, and update global trade regulations for multiple countries using official government and regulatory sources.
- Proactively monitor official sources for changes in assigned tariffs, ensuring timely identification, validation, and accurate entry of updates into the system.
- Translate regulatory updates and amendments into standardized, system- or software-compatible formats for seamless data loading and integration.
- Analyze and respond to customer inquiries related to assigned tariffs by providing accurate, well-researched, and compliant information within defined timelines.
- Identify credible government contacts and authoritative data sources for assigned countries and establish effective working relationships to ensure data reliability.
- Document processes, procedures, and work instructions for assigned tariffs in accordance with established guidelines, templates, and quality standards.
- Identify, document, and report system or data defects in standard files and applications, and support testing of new features and enhancements as part of the ADO process.
- Support project management activities under close supervision by assisting with data collection, analysis, and preparation of reports and deliverables.
- Actively identify opportunities to expand and enhance regulatory data coverage for assigned tariffs to improve data completeness and accuracy.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of the Harmonized System (HS) and customs regulations.
- Sound understanding of import and export operations and trade compliance processes.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent command of the English language; proficiency in additional languages is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, research, and interpretation abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage, analyze, and interpret data effectively.
- Demonstrates a strong focus on delivery, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
