Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop solutions using Big Data tools and technologies such as BigQuery, Hive, and Spark.
- Apply extensive hands-on experience in object-oriented programming with Python and PySpark APIs.
- Build and manage data pipelines to handle large volumes of data.
- Design, implement, and manage ETL job execution flows.
- Develop and maintain efficient data ingestion processes.
- Write optimized queries using HQL, SQL, and Spark for data processing and analysis.
- Design, implement, and maintain data transformation jobs using the most effective tools and technologies.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of developed solutions.
- Participate in code reviews to uphold high standards of code quality.
- Write and maintain shell scripts for automation and process management.
- Utilize Git for source code version control.
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications and ETL job chains.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming using Python.
- Hands-on experience with ETL job design principles.
- Solid understanding of HQL, SQL, and data modeling.
- Good knowledge of Unix/Linux and shell scripting.
- Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
- Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
- Knowledge of software development best practices and design patterns.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud.
