Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans and scripts under general guidance to validate the quality and success of various technologies.
- Perform manual and automated testing of applications and web resources to ensure system performance on deployed platforms.
- Apply good knowledge of SDLC, STLC processes, and core testing concepts.
- Understand and analyze Business Requirements Documents, Functional Requirement Documents, and Software Requirement Specifications.
- Demonstrate strong skills in manual testing methods and practices.
- Prepare, write, and execute detailed test plans and test cases.
- Perform different testing types, including Functional, Regression, Performance, Smoke, UI, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Utilize defect tracking tools effectively to log, track, and resolve issues.
- Write and execute basic SQL queries for test validation.
- Apply Agile methodology in project execution and delivery.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Essential Functions:
- Review requirements and contribute to test estimation, planning, and strategy.
- Lead or participate in test planning, test case authoring, and execution for compliance products in client implementation projects.
- Execute test iterations, track defects, report test results, and troubleshoot issues, coordinating defect resolution with the team.
- Collaborate closely with Developers, Technical Leads/Managers, Business Analysts, Consultants, and other project stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
- Coordinate with Business Analysts and Development teams to resolve blockers and issues.
- Document, track, and escalate issues appropriately.
- Execute test scripts and identify opportunities for automation to improve process efficiency.
- Proactively highlight challenges, risks, and mitigation plans to the Manager and seek necessary support.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related branch (BCA, MCA, B.Sc., M.Sc.).
- 0 – 1 year of experience in software testing.
