Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all software functions as intended by conducting thorough and detailed testing.
- Act as the first line of defense in identifying and reporting functionality issues within the game.
- Take responsibility and accountability for providing QA sign-offs before releasing to production.
- Apply standard QA processes to review bugs, assess test cases, and create relevant documentation.
- Develop, maintain, and execute test plans and scripts for both existing game themes and new features.
- Document, track, and update the status of all issues in the bug tracking system (e.g., JIRA) until they are resolved.
- Verify the accuracy and functionality of live game events to ensure alignment with design specifications.
- Use debugging, admin, and third-party software tools to diagnose, reproduce, and analyze issues.
- Reproduce reported issues when needed to support software development in troubleshooting and resolving problems.
- Prepare and submit status updates, documentation, and other detailed reports to supervisors.
- Adapt quickly to shifting priorities with minimal downtime.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience:
- 1–2 years of professional experience in software testing is required.
- Experience in web and/or mobile testing is an added advantage.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work through complex problems in ambiguous situations.
- Experience working in a highly collaborative environment alongside engineering, design, and art teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Capable of efficiently prioritizing and managing tasks.
- Experience with the Atlassian Suite and related add-ons.
- Results-driven mindset with a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Comfortable working in unpredictable and ambiguous situations.
- Ability to execute test scripts and accurately report the status of features and/or games through both scripted and ad-hoc testing.
- Proficient understanding of software testing methodologies, procedures, and the overall product development lifecycle.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working effectively with team members.
- Capable of meeting tight deadlines while delivering accurate and effective results.
- Strong technical knowledge of computers and mobile devices, with the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
