Key Responsibilities:
- Play a key role in shaping and delivering Nike’s next-generation platforms by leveraging technical expertise to build resilient and scalable solutions.
- Manage platform performance and ensure high standards of code quality.
- Lead the adoption of open-source technologies and agile methodologies within the organization.
- Work with cloud technologies and programming languages such as Python, React, and Node.js.
- Apply strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Explore new open-source technologies and implement proof-of-concept (POC) projects.
- Demonstrate strong collaboration and problem-solving skills in day-to-day activities.
Eligibility Criteria:
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of hands-on experience working as a Software Engineer.
- Strong understanding of designing and implementing web and mobile applications.
- Ability to write computer code that is correct, well-tested, and easy to read.
- Ability to evangelize and promote the adoption of GPaaS, open-source software, and agile principles within the organization.
- Capability to design and develop solutions using scalable, highly resilient, cloud-native architectures.
- Commitment to delivering well-documented and thoroughly tested code, with active participation in peer code reviews.
- Experience designing and developing tools and frameworks that improve security, reliability, maintainability, availability, and performance of the platform’s technology foundation.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, React, Swift, or JavaScript.
- Understanding of cloud-based environments, including platforms like Amazon EC2, Google Cloud Engine (GCE), Rackspace, or Azure.
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational database technologies, such as Oracle, MS SQL, NoSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
- Familiarity with SAP platforms and/or Warehouse Management Systems.
- Keen attention to detail, a growth mindset, and a strong desire to explore and adopt new technologies.
