Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop distributed, real-time trading systems to support the FICC Credit Trading business.
- Analyze and understand existing systems and workflows, and enhance them by transitioning to a modern, scalable microservices architecture with minimal impact on business operations.
- Collaborate with global teams to successfully deliver on business objectives and strategic initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria:
- A degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
- Solid understanding of Java programming concepts.
- Strong foundation in object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Experience with Linux operating system internals and/or networking fundamentals.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with real-time distributed systems.
- Proficiency in multi-threaded and concurrent programming.
- Familiarity with low-latency messaging, network protocols, and network I/O in Java.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of initiative, drive, and ownership.
- Basic knowledge of financial markets and trading systems.
