Key Responsibilities:
- Execute AMD Diagnostics suites and test codes, including code development in object-oriented programming, as well as building, testing, and debugging test suites for production.
- Participate in bring-up activities and enable diagnostic tests for AMD’s next-generation System Level Test (SLT) and ASIC qualification suites.
- Collaborate with Design teams, IP owners, Platform teams, and Product Engineering to verify design functionality, performance, and meet production test and characterization requirements.
- Debug diagnostic issues by working closely with internal and external AMD teams to identify and resolve problems.
- Contribute to the automation of the Diagnostics Suite release process to streamline deployment.
- Support related projects and assignments aimed at enhancing productivity and operational efficiency.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating system internals.
- Basic knowledge of scripting languages such as UNIX shell scripting or Ruby.
- Experience working with software version control systems like Git or Subversion.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently, demonstrate proactiveness, and maintain a positive attitude.
- Understanding of x86 architecture or any other processor architecture.
- Experience in assembly language programming.
- Exposure to Linux application or device driver development.
- Background in processor validation and development of low-level software.
