Key Responsibilities:
- Provide analytical insights to identify root causes of problems, track emerging trends, and monitor changes within the portfolio.
- Lead projects from ideation to implementation, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
- Continuously identify new opportunities and areas for improvement to help achieve team KPIs and performance targets.
- Collaborate closely with business partners and stakeholders to design analytical and measurement approaches that enhance understanding of emerging business issues.
- Manage stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle by understanding their needs, priorities, and perspectives to drive effective and practical solutions.
- Stay updated on new products, features, and market trends, and assess their impact on back-office review processes.
- Identify current or potential gaps in the team’s existing reporting capabilities and tools suite, and propose enhancements.
- Deliver clear and concise updates to leadership, product teams, and other stakeholders, simplifying complex analysis and emphasizing actionable insights and business impact.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Strong technical and data-mining skills with the ability to work with large volumes of data using tools such as SQL, SAS, Hadoop, or programming/scripting languages like Python and R.
- Proficient in extracting, manipulating, and analyzing large datasets to derive actionable business insights and drive decision-making.
- Data-driven and outcome-oriented, with a focus on delivering measurable business impact.
- Demonstrates sound business judgment with the ability to think both creatively and strategically.
- Possesses strong analytical thinking with a structured and intuitive approach to conducting detailed data analysis.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong sense of personal ownership and the ability to drive high-impact projects independently with minimal guidance.
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or a related field with 2–3 years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree with 1–2 years of experience, preferably in risk management, data science, or loss forecasting within the payments or financial services industry.
- Proficient in writing SQL queries and working with relational databases.
- Experienced in at least one statistical programming language, such as SAS, R, or Python.
- Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with predictive modeling techniques, including regression, classification, time series forecasting, and natural language processing (NLP).
- Skilled in structuring and executing data-driven analyses to solve complex business problems using advanced analytics tools and methodologies.
