Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop full-stack applications using Core Java for the backend and React.js for the frontend.
- Build and maintain IoT-enabled solutions for smart communities by integrating sensors, devices, and IoT platforms.
- Utilize cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP for application deployment, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and stakeholders to deliver user-focused solutions.
- Ensure compliance with security best practices and implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
- Troubleshoot application issues and optimize performance, including debugging IoT integrations and real-time data processing.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM).
Required Skills & Experience:
- Possess expert-level knowledge in Core Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing multithreaded applications.
- Hands-on experience in front-end development using React.js or Angular, along with JavaScript and modern UI frameworks.
- Proficient in working with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
- Strong command over various Java design patterns.
- Skilled in debugging code and resolving complex technical issues.
- Experienced in test-driven development using tools like JUnit and Mockito.
- Well-versed in all stages of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Capable of writing reusable and efficient Java libraries.
- Proficient in writing clean, readable, and maintainable Java code.
- Solid understanding of the Java Virtual Machine (JVM), including its limitations, weaknesses, and potential workarounds.
- Experienced in supporting and maintaining existing codebases.
- Proficient in using continuous integration and automation tools such as Ant, Gradle, Git, and GitHub Actions.
- Adept in Agile software development methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with IoT protocols such as MQTT and WebSockets, including edge computing and sensor integration.
- Familiarity with the Niagara Framework is considered an added advantage.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of integrating AI/ML technologies for IoT analytics.
- Experience with low-code/no-code tools for automating workflows.
- Familiarity with Digital Twin concepts.
- Prior experience in developing city-wide operational applications is a plus.
