Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of financial products, including bonds, mutual funds, MBS, SWAPS, equities, and more.
- Prepare and calculate the Net Asset Values (NAVs) of clients’ mutual funds on a daily or monthly basis.
- Perform cash, position, and market value reconciliations, resolving discrepancies and notifying clients or Client Service Managers (CSMs) of valid breaks. Make necessary adjustments for any erroneous or missing transactions in the accounting system.
- Review portfolio pricing and analyze any pricing exceptions.
- Ensure that corporate actions are accurately reflected in the system, including dividends and interest reconciliation with broker reports.
- Accrue and amortize daily or monthly non-security-related fees, such as management fees and financing accruals.
- Verify that all Over-the-Counter (OTC) products traded by the client are correctly booked.
- Handle the booking of capital activities related to the fund.
- Finalize the month-end NAV for clients and generate investor-level allocation reports.
- Support audits for funds by preparing financial statements, completing audit reviews, and documenting identified issues until closure.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, such as the Securities/Trades and Pricing Team, Reporting Team, Investor Services Team, auditors, Client Service Managers, and clients.
- An understanding of business transitions and required documentation is an added advantage.
- Possess strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Exhibit knowledge of audits (internal and external) and a strong understanding of the risk and control framework.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with onshore counterparts, including custodians, brokers, and client trading desks, and effectively handle onshore queries and issues.
- Experience with applications such as Global Plus, AddVantage, and Trust Desk is an added advantage.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Any Graduate (PG an added advantage)
- Strong skills in effective probing and root cause analysis.
- Exposure to internal and external audits with a solid understanding of the risk and control framework.
Preferred skills:
- Relevant work experience in an Associate role.
- Previous experience in a middle or back office role within a financial services firm.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with applications such as Global Plus and Intellimatch is an added advantage.
