Program as part of the University Relations Program and gain practical industry experience in a research-driven environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribute to ongoing research and development projects at IBM Research India under the guidance of experienced mentors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apply technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to address real-world challenges and develop innovative solutions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work on one or more research areas across the AI domain, including large language models (LLMs), agentic systems, AI accelerator software, data and AI, and programmable language models.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribute to the development and scaling of large language models and explore innovative approaches to AI model development.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop and enhance agentic systems that leverage small language models for efficient and intelligent task execution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribute to the auto-evolution of AI agents, including testing, debugging, evaluation, and continuous improvement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribute to the development of software stacks for AI accelerator cards and explore technologies that enhance AI computing capabilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Explore the intersection of data and artificial intelligence to develop scalable and data-driven AI solutions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research and contribute to the development of programmable language models and emerging AI technologies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with mentors and research teams to investigate complex technical problems, develop solutions, and evaluate experimental results.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate strong technical curiosity, creativity, and analytical thinking while contributing to cutting-edge AI research and development.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gain exposure to advanced technologies, research methodologies, and industry practices while developing skills relevant to future career opportunities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility Criteria:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>B.E. \/ B.Tech degree.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>M.E. \/ M.Tech degree, including Dual Degree programs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ph.D. degree.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum 70% marks or 7.0 CGPA and above in the pursuing degree.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Required Skills:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strong programming fundamentals in Python.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Solid understanding of Machine Learning and Deep Learning concepts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, Transformers, and Natural Language Processing (NLP).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hands-on experience with development tools such as VS Code, Jupyter Notebooks, and Git.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exposure to AI Accelerator software stacks and related technologies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in AI and Machine Learning frameworks, particularly PyTorch.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exposure to AI agents, tool usage, function calling, and reasoning models.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarity with techniques such as LoRA\/PEFT, knowledge distillation, reinforcement learning, RLHF, or RLAIF is desirable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to read, understand, and critically analyze research papers, with experience implementing research ideas being highly desirable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to reproduce research results and design controlled experiments to evaluate models and approaches.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarity with linear algebra, probability, statistics, and fundamental concepts related to Large Language Models.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exposure to popular reinforcement learning libraries and hands-on experience with reinforcement learning training.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hands-on experience with Git and containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exposure to Triton and Hugging Face technologies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarity with AI Accelerator architectures, NCCL, and compiler technologies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preferred Skills:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Exposure to popular reinforcement learning libraries and hands-on experience with reinforcement learning training.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong
